EDUCATIONAL CONCERNS FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
At Knowlton, we consider each child's academic, social and emotional needs gathered from teachers, administrators, and parent insights as we design class lists. Significant time and effort goes into creating balanced classes for over 500 students. If you have an educational, social or emotional concern for your child, please complete and submit an individual form for each child. We take all information into consideration as we place students in the best educational environment to meet their needs. Any type of change/requests will not be considered without a written request using this form. 2026-2027 Educational Concerns for Knowlton Elementary – Fill out form
NOTE: This is NOT a teacher request form as teaching assignments may fluctuate and differ before school starts.
I NEED TO CHECK MY STUDENT OUT EARLY WHAT DO I DO?
If you need to check students out early we kindly ask that you plan to do so before 3pm as the last 30 minutes of the day we like to keep open for last minute emergencies and limit interruptions for teachers giving important end of day instructions.
Parents and only those on your emergency contact list can check out student and MUST show photo ID to the office camera and secretary.
WHAT IF MY STUDENT FORGOT SOMETHING FROM HOME?
We have a DROP OFF TABLE inside the first set of doors on your left. Please write your student's name & teachers name on the post-it note to label your item needing to be delivered. The secretaries in the office have a camera to view the table so you do NOT need to ring the doorbell and let the office know it's there. All items will be delivered to the student.
GROUND DUTY SUBS NEEDED:
Knowlton Elementary is looking for some extra hands to help keep the playground safe and fun!
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a Ground Duty Substitute, the best way to get started is to reach out to the school office @ 801-402-3000.
NURSING SERVICES INFORMATION:
The Nursing Services Information for the 2026-2027 school year outlines key health requirements and services for students at Knowlton Elementary. Happy to help answer any questions you may have.
LOST & FOUND: Help us reunite lost items with their owners!
We’ve noticed our lost and found collection growing quite quickly lately! To help ensure your student’s belongings make it back home, we kindly ask that you label all items with their name. To give everyone the best chance to find their things, we leave misplaced items where they were left for a short period. Then every Friday, we’ll gather any remaining items and keep them in our lost and found for one week. Due to the high volume, after a week in the lost and found we will then bag them up to be donated. Teachers are aware and will walk classes by daily to have students look. Parents are always welcome to stop in and search as well.
We truly appreciate your help in keeping our lost and found empty and your closets full!
POLICY REMINDER: Phone and Smart Watches
Cell Phones: Must remain in backpacks throughout the entire school day. They may only be taken out and used once school has been dismissed.
Smart Watches: These are permitted to be worn, but only for the purpose of telling time. If a student uses a smart watch to call or text during school hours, they will be required to store it in their backpack until the end of the day.
