WELCOME KNOWLTON COLT FAMILY

“Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start.” Nido Qubein

This quote embodies my belief in both the learner and the educator. Our potential for growth isn’t predetermined. Together, we can multiply opportunities for ourselves and learners.

History and Background:

I was studying microbiology and German when I took a part-time job in a school. Although I loved what I was learning in my classes, I found myself wanting to skip my university classes so I could spend more time with the kids. After careful consideration, I switched my major to education and never looked back. I attended BYI-Idaho and Weber State University for my bachelor’s degree and Southern Utah University for my master’s degree. I taught third grade in Ogden at T.O. Smith Elementary. I taught first grade at South Clearfield Elementary. I was an English Language Arts Coordinator at Eagle Bay Elementary and Mountain View Elementary. I was a member of the ELA Professional Learning Team for three years. Before coming to Knowlton, I spent three years as the administrative intern at Wasatch Elementary in Clearfield. I love learning and get nerdy over innovation and research. On the weekends I can be found with my family and friends, enjoying a laugh and some chill time.

In my short time as Knowlton Elementary’s administrative intern, I have been impressed with the staff, students, and Knowlton community. I look forward to getting to know everyone better as we collaborate for engaging, student-centered learning.

Thanks,
